The House of Quality Bamboo Furnitures - Kawayan Republic started as an idea of the dynamic couple, Carl and Cathy. They, as lovers of nature-made house designs, visioned of a nature-like house furnishings in every home.
Carl, a former Dean in a Computer school in Manila, an IT Manager in one of the call centers in Bacolod and also an IT consultant and lecturer, visualize furnitures made of bamboo as their dream concept during the building of their house. This was in support of the creative mind in terms of interior designing by his wife, Cathy.
The beauty and brains behind the concept, Cathy, is the one who now manages the business and creates the designs. She is the marketing person, being a graduate of B.S. in Business Management in Manila. Aside from Kawayan Republic, she also manages other business lines of the family such as the charcoal and small truck rental business.
The business officially started last November 10, 2014 when the couple started buying living room sets in La Castellana and sells these sets in Bacolod City proper. Started as a buy and sell of bamboo furniture business, it now grows to have its own line of designs and manufactures these designs into bamboo furnitures that suits the needs of the buyers.
